Warid Glow Executes Massive Ad Campaign Featuring 10+1 Musicians [Updated]

Since recently, there has been a new boom in advertisement industry of Pakistan to include musicians in the TVCs to target youth. This step specially by the telecom industry hasn’t only exponentially grabbed youth but has also paid off the hard-work of these Pakistani rock icons in the times where the album sales have declined massively .

After recent inclusion of Farhad Humayun, Noori, Call and Ali Azmat in PTCL EVO, Walls, McDonald’s and Ufone’s ad campaigns respectively, Warid glow has taken a step ahead to execute a massive ten-day ad campaign, that isn’t only one of it’s kind but also one of the best executed ad campaigns of Pakistan.

To me everything about this campaign has felt just perfect. By featuring these music maestros playing best of their solos along with state-of-the-art video direction by Soheb Akhtar of Ambiance films and high budgets, Warid has actually stolen hearts of music enthusiasts from around the country. There is something for everyone of us out there from Aamir Zaki’s blues to Farhad Drums.

The campaign lasted for 10 days featuring one musician a day along with one of the ten main features of Warid glow.

The company signed some extremly talented musicians of our music industry like Ahsan Papu (MHB), Farhad Humayun (Overload), Jaffer Zaidi (Kaavish), Saba Shabbir (Backing Vocals at Coke Studio), Aamir Zaki, Khalid Khan (Aaroh), Faisal Baig, Sikandar Mufti (Co-VEN &, Mauj), Zoe Viccaji & Asad Ahmed (Karavan) for their advertisements. However, that’s not it, the big one has yet to come as reported by a Warid insider. Who could possibly be the big one? We suspect it be the brand ambassador of Warid, Atif Aslam.

Lol no one knows half of so called musician in warid ads , like who is faisal baig, saba, zoe ( all contact based) and very dark ads they should include cool bands like roxen ,inteha, mauj etc . Even kavish ones was pathetics only worth watching is asad amir and puppo saieen

they all r very well known in paki music industry….saba was also in coke studio n sikandar mufti is in mauj and co-ven…

you getting the package even if Atif is in the Ad.Don’t use it no one is forcing you.
Atif has added more to glow and everyone will buy glow because of Atif.

it’s sad that artists in pakistan have to sell icecream.. and now phone connections. i mean artists like Aamir zaki… it doesnt make these musicians any less of artists but it is something to think bout as it reflects the mindset of our society and it’s feeble attempts to ‘promote’ local talent by putting a stamp of their own brand on them.
True patrons of arts will only help by ‘creating an audience’ for the performers and artists. and then maybe get the corporate world to attract their target market by sponsoring events… not treating artists like muppets.

pointless ad i mean seriously …. the first one with farhad humayun (the music one) and the last combined one make a sense and fit with the overall theme but the unlimited sms one, games, sports, social networking …. seriously, what they are showing has nothing to do with the package! How do these ideas get passed seriously i have no clue! They only made it attractive and that’s it, but no thought process has been put up in the concept!

because ‘ashiq aslam’ in the ad, i am going to switch my service from warid to some other network….this campaign doesn’t make any sense by the way…
