Music Management at It’s Best, Two Five Right

May 14, 2010

There has been a bizarre yet highly followed trend in the music industry of Pakistan of picking up the artist managers based more on random reasons than logical. From all the reasons why branding an artist and selling music hasn’t been going really great, I say one of the drastic ones is picking up the wrong artist management.

On having conversation with drummer of an underground band from Islamabad, he proudly announced his best friend to be the band’s manager because he thinks his best friend would put loyal efforts. Though he could be right about the loyal efforts but this in no way makes his friend a good artist manager. Analyzing the management of many of the musicians of Pakistan including the mainstream ones, it should be safe to say that they are not “qualified” music managers.

While most of the musicians choose to live with unprofessional artist managers, two five right artist management is all set to make difference in the industry with qualified staff and professional services.

CEO of the management firm, Aamir Rauf is a qualified artist manager who holds a degree in Music Business from Berklee College of Music and has been managing several acts since the time he was attaining his qualification.

The management firm has been providing all kind of services to artists and has fairly large team from graphic designers and web developers to lawyers and accountants. On interviewing Aamir, he told us

As an artist management firm it is our job to make sure that all of our clients are well represented in the music business and the public domain. We take care of everything a professional band would need, from marketing and new media to legal and business decisions.

Based on our personal experience, the firm has been extremely efficient  in providing press kits and release of it’s clients and has been very co-operative. To know more about Two Five Right, check out their website or join them on Facebook.
