Rock & Roll Jihad on Huffington Post’s Top 20 list, Books On Faith

The self-styled sufi rocker Salman Ahmad has worn many hats during his short life. His latest effort has lead him to the role of an author, as his book “Rock & Roll Jihad: A Muslim Rock Star’s Revolution” was released in North America by Simon & Schuster on January 12 and in Pakistan on January 15, is on a quest to bridge differences based on belief through “the universal language of music”. The book reveals a touching and very colorful quest.

He has been featured in the news in very famous international media networks like Guardian, NY Times, BBC, CNN, The Independent, in one of the top destination for news The Huffington Post and many more for quite a lot and has been performing and giving lectures on faith in various popular universities of America. The media hype around him was on an all-time high at the moment owing to the recent launch of his autobiography ‘Rock and Roll Jihad’ and his freshly released album of the same name.

But now the book which tells the remarkable tale of Salman Ahmed, a Pakistani doctor who became the first Muslim rock star, and serves to show how music and art can be a powerful force to end cultural conflicts and bring humanity together, has made it to (#13) position at Huffington’s top 20 Religious Must-Reads For This Summer.

This is a very prestigious honor for Salman’s book which is the story of his junooni journey. It will also be released in India soon by Jaico publishers, says Salman.

Salman Ahmad has been giving inspirational messages of tolerance and faith during his lectures and interviews and thinks that extremism can be defeated by rock music.
