Shoaib Mansoor’s ‘Bol’ gets censor clearance
Shoaib Mansoor’s much-awaited second full-length feature film, ‘Bol‘ gets censor clearance from the Pakistan Film Censor Board on Monday in Lahore.
According to a source in the censor board, the film was reviewed by the board on Monday in Lahore. The film is expected to release at the end of January 2011.
Bol stars Pakistani singer Atif Aslam as well as Humaima Malick, Mahira Khan, Iman Ali, Shafqat Cheema and Manzar Sehbai. Atif Aslam said that the film “was being made for a good cause.”
After ‘Khuda Kay Liye‘, that went on to win several international awards, ‘Bol’ is another gripping story written by Mansoor himself and deals with a stronger and even more emotional topic than his previous film and discusses the issues of women’s rights in Pakistan. ‘Bol’ is a roller coaster of emotions, yet carries subtleties that make your heartbeat stop.
A censor board official told The Express Tribune, “I can tell you right now that the movie is really impressive and the music is good too.”
