Qayaas Wins Jack Daniel’s Annual Rock Award for the Best Pakistani Band

Jack Daniel’s Annual Rock Awards in association with Rolling Stone presents The Award Winners Tour.

This year the awards have been extended to India’s neighboring countries Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Bands from both countries were given the opportunity to apply for the best band of the year in their respective countries. The winning band from Pakistan Qayaas’s music, in its own words, is about “inspirational moments, relationships or life in general”. Qayaas which will also be performing Live at Hard Rock Cafe on 16th December in New Delhi along with one of India’s best band “Half Step Down”, has flown to India a few days ago.

It’s a dream come true for the Pakistani Rock band. Umair Jaswal, the lead vocalist of the band says, “QAYAAS, winner of Jack Daniel’s Rolling Stones Best ROCK Band 2010! Headlining tonight at THE HARD ROCK CAFE NEW DELHI! Leaving for sound check! dream do come true! DREAM ON!”.

We would like to congratulate Qayaas for winning such a prestigious award and most importantly their first music award which they truly deserve. This will also be Qayaas’ first international tour and their first step towards making a mark on the music world. We wish them best of luck for their future ventures.
