Having sold close to 30,000 copies of his debut album “Chapter One: The Prince Who Would Be King” and thousands of mixtapes before it, Kamran Rasheed Khan known as Lazarus has made himself an icon in the underground hip hop scene of today. His recent release shot in Rawalpindi, Drug of Choice, has already gathered as much as 106,000 views on youtube in 3 days of release. The video also got over 15,000 views on our Facebook page.

Hailing from US, Lazarus is a doctor by profession and has performed at many prestigious venues including Detroit’s famous Joe Louis Arena, St. Andrews, the Bull Frog, the Majestic Theatre, to headlining for the Ruff Ryders, P. Diddy’s “Vote or Die” campaign at Wayne State University, and opening up for G-Unit, and also for Eminem’s D12.

This isn’t only an achievement for Lazarus but also an encouragement to other underground rap artists. The rap seems to be really taking off in Pakistan and if you’re an underground rap artist, your future could just be as bright.
