Adil Omar to Work with Apathy & Kool G Rap for his Debut Album

Pakistan’s only hardcore rapper, Adil Omar‘s debut studio album, “The Mushroom Cloud Effect” is in full effect. Adil is working and collaborating with as many international producers and rappers as he can to make his debut special. He recently announced that underground rapper and producer Apathy will be part of his album. The song he produced is called “Go Outside” and is conceptually one of the most powerful and haunting things Adil has done.

“Honored to have underground heavyweight Apathy as part of my album. Not only is he one of the best rappers out today, he’s also a very underrated producer as well. He produced a track called “Go Outside” for The Mushroom Cloud Effect which I’m having chills writing. This is one of my most haunting and powerful yet!”

The Mushroom Cloud Effect got even more exciting when Adil announced his collaboration with the “hip-hop godfather”, Kool G Rap. “I just got off the phone with Kool G Rap about our collaboration on my album. What a LEGEND. A lot of you kids are ill informed, but he’s a father to all lyrical rappers that exist,” says Adil.

Regarding the album title, Adil revealed on his website that it’s “a metaphor for the aftermath of a catastrophe. Whether that catastrophe is the current state of the music industry, my personal troubles, or even my birth, is the product of all of those things put together. I’ve been putting out free music for a long time, but I’ve been saving the best ideas and concepts for this.”

Adil has gathered about 6 tracks till now but have plans to record up to twenty five tracks for the album. “I’ll release around 18 with 2 or 3 bonus tracks. Then after the release of the album I also plan to a re-release it with special bonus tracks. Only two of my current, existing tracks will be re-created and featured in the album,” says Adil.

Adil has revealed that he will be working with producers such as DJ Solo of Soul Assassins, KFied from Finland, Rubee Jawbotik, Fredwreck, Traumah, Paperback Productions, Darp Malone, Apathy, Cryptic Wisdom, Liroy, Italian producer Weirdo and DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit. His friend Bilal Iftikhar is helping him with the mixing and mastering of a few tracks.

Confirmed guests featuring in the album include: B-Real of Cypress Hill, Everlast, Greydon Square, Kool G Rap, Hard Target and others that have not been announced yet.

Fredwreck Nassar is reported to be producing the first single, “Off the Handle”, which will be released in the summer of 2011 with a music video directed and edited by Matt Alonzo, who has done videos such as “Like A G6″ as well as videos for Cypress Hill, Xzibit, Snoop Dogg, Chris Cornell, Soulja Boy, Lil’ Wayne and many more.

The first potential street single, “Paki Rambo”, off The Mushroom Cloud Effect, which has been produced by DJ Solo and is recorded and mixed to perfection, has been confirmed to be part of the upcoming Pakistani feature-length film Gol Chakkar — both soundtrack and movie itself.

Some confirmed track titles from The Mushroom Cloud Effect:

“Paki Rambo” (produced by DJ SOLO)
“Sugar Low” (produced by KFied)
“Broken Man” (produced by KFied)
“Summertime” (produced by Traumah)

The Mushroom Cloud Effect is due to be released somewhere around 2012. A record label is yet to be announced.
