Azme Alishan National Song Competition Season 2

The national song competition is back with a bang.

Azme Alishan are here to explore, to encourage and to give a platform to the talented individuals of Pakistan who are brimming with music and want the world and the nation to hear their voice.

After the successful journey of Azme Alishan’s first national Song competition Azme Alishan have come to realize the amount of talent the youth of Pakistan has and all they want is to be heard, and Azme Alishan are going to do just that with Azme Alishan’s National song competition season 2.

So tune your guitars, Clear your vocal chords and feel the beat as Azme Alishan take another journey to find the best National song this nation has ever heard.

Because we believe that Pakistan is not a beaten nation. We are a nation with a beat waiting to be heard.

So send in your recording of any Pakistani national song or a song that reflects the spirit of Azme Alishan, and you too can be a winner and get a chance to star in your own music video!

Submission Requisite and Terms & Conditions:

• Participants can send their entries from April 6th, 2011 to April 21st, 2011.

• Entries sent via the web please upload to the www.azmealishan.com website.

• Entries sent via a CD, DVD or tape please mark and send via courier to the mailing address below:

• Azme Alishan reserves the right to extend the submission date after April 21st, 2011. However, there is no guarantee that there will be an extension of the deadline.

• The songs have to be national cover songs in original lyrics, and sung by the contestant artist/band, when submitted to Azme Alishan.

• Pakistani origin applicants residing in Pakistan and/or internationally to apply only.

• Entrants must include along with the song entry submission a profile about themselves. Entrant profile; name, CNIC photocopy, contact details, profession, schooling, interests & hobbies, a photograph of themselves etc, as per submission form requirement.

• For entries via courier; the CD to be labeled by the entrants name in visible ink, envelope to be taped to avoid loss of content. Additionally, the web-based form must be printed and duly fill-out by the contestant and sent along with there CD submission. Make sure that the CD is enclosed in a regular sized case and not a thin casing.

• For entries submitted digitally via the web; the entry form with each field to be duly filled and the song submission to be submitted.

• In case of entries being submitted on a CD or DVD, attach the lyrics in a word file soft copy and hardcopy printout along with the song file, along with naming the original song artist and song title.

• The entries will not be returned to the entrants, once submitted.

• Entrants can submit more than one song, but it is preferable that they submit the songs on one CD, DVD or tape inclusive of the lyrics softcopy and hardcopy document.

• The entered song contest entry submission song cannot be used by the song writer/ contestant for a period of one year (from the date of winner announcement) on a forum other than the Azm e Alishan national song contest.

• Azm-e-Alishan can use any song and/or content received in any form required and/or final production of songs created /shared for Azm e Alishan collaterals at any point in time using any medium (locally and internationally) without prior permission from the song writer.

• The contestants’ will make themselves available at all times for sound-bites, profiles, talk shows, etc, when, where and for all mediums required by the Azme Alishan National Song Contest management.

• The contestants’ will remain under a confidentiality agreement for the full duration of the Azme Alishan competition and pre-airing of the television show. The contestants are not to divulge any winner’s information or program content to the public in any way or form until the respective television show has been aired publically.

• The Azme Alishan National Song Contest’s management decision along with the judges’ decision will be full and final and not subject to any form of reasoning and/or arbitration.

• All contestants will abide strictly to all terms & conditions layed out by the Azme Alishan management at all times and will not publically in any form or medium display negativity towards Azme Alishan and/or the Azme Alishan National Song Competition.

• Submitting of entries for the Azme Alishan National Song Competition Season 2 will automatically abide the entrants to all terms & conditions.

• Other terms and conditions do apply where applicable.
