Noori Coming Back With The Original Line-up?

Noori is considered one of the pioneering forces behind what is dubbed as the ’21st Century Pop Revolution of Pakistan’. It is a band with a concept and is one of the pioneering rock bands from Pakistan. For the first time in the history of this band, Noori is creating it’s very own gig, on the 6th of May. And no place better to do that than in Karachi, especially when the city hasn’t hosted a Noori concert for ages. They (Noori) are calling this A Gig ‘NOT TO BE MISSED!’. Why? You will only find out on May 6th. There is no doubt one of the biggest surprises this band will ever share with their fans.

We are all curious to know what surprise they are gonna reveal to their fans. But our source who has worked closely with the band tells us that the band is reuniting, “I have also been hearing about it. The Noori boys are pretty tight lipped about it.” Noori which disbanded after the release of their second album due to financial stress, is coming back with the original line-up for a highly exclusive gig in Karachi.

Noori - 6th May 2011 Concert InformationInitially when Noori started, the band consisted of four members including Muhammad Ali Jafri, who was playing bass guitar for Noori, left the band in 2005 and started his own business and Louis J Pinto (also known as Gumby), the band’s drummer who left it in 2006, as he was busy doing side projects with other bands as a session player, apart from the blood brothers, Ali Noor and Ali Hamza. Their was absolutely no communication between the band members in the whole scenario. But in 2009 the Noori brothers reunited with Gumby for the Coke Studio sessions. And now on May 6th, 2011 they are all set reunite with Ali Jafri (that’s what we are hearing).

This gig is a highly exclusive one, and there are VERY LIMITED SEATS available. If you are lucky enough, you will get to see the reunion live, in front of you. Otherwise (and in any case) visit the Noori Facebook page on a daily basis, as they will be regularly updating you about what is in store for y’all!
