As shocking as the title may sound, this coming from a genius like Aamir Zaki makes total sense. For quite some time, Zaki has been working on a new playing style that he has recently discovered called “Eastern Classical Guitar”. Since the age of 14, Zaki has been fond of playing the classical guitar, in fact that’s where he begun his musical career from.
The guitar maestro also recorded a complete album based out of classical guitars which also happens to be his debut recorded album which has never been released. He plans to release some of that music which is now cooking in the labs of Zeeshan Parwez. Zaki will also be releasing some of the music based on the newly discovered playing style which of course is played on a classical guitar. That said, he will not be playing that music on any ordinary classical guitar, in fact he is working on making a special guitar for it.
When asked, he enthusiastically responded “this will change the way the guitar is being played for good” He further added “I’m done playing the steel string, electric and bass, eastern guitars is all I play now“.
We had a rather short conversation with the mad genius because he was so excited about the upcoming music that he wanted to just get back to playing the eastern.
Just before we got done with the conversation, Zaki added “I’ve left all the styles I’ve played before. A collection of unreleased music will be out soon. I’ve moved on“.
Zaki also plans to release some of this music with the musicians from the west.

No offense, I do respect his talent: But Zaki is yet another “chala hua kartoos”. I have been listening about his new album and music videos coming for last 2-3 years now.
Its about time now, please don’t make hype with what you are planning rather show us what you have in your studios for us.
He’s the most under rated musician around .. and is one of the most refined talents of Pakistan .. For those of you who havent seen him
‘ think ‘ music and melody , i say watch out for what hes bringing next . Saving the best for last .
Good luck to the maestro!
