June 24, 2013

Bilal Lashari's Waar To Release This Eid ul Fitr 2013So finally the wait is almost over. One of the most anticipated movies in the history of Pakistani cinema is going to hit the theatres very soon. Waar, whose first look promo was released about 2 years back, had to face a lot of difficulties in its post-production phases that resulted in numerous delays in the release of this movie. Towards the closing they had some serious budget issues owing to the magnitude of this mega project. For past few days there were rumours in the social media that Waar is releasing soon but it was only yesterday that the super talented director of the film finally broke the ice and updated his followers on the Facebook about the project.

“Eid ul Fitr 2013 it is. Thank you for your impatience”

Pakistani film industry is passing through a miserable phase as the industry is virtually dead. For few years now, it is only Shoaib Mansoor who has made couple of good movies that have attracted huge audiences to the cinema theatres but now it’s the young Bilal Lashari who is expected to make it big with his Waar.

The first look of Waar that was released on 31st December 2011, literally got viral on the YouTube and even went on to break several records on YouTube worldwide. As far as the promo was concerned, people even started to say that this is going to be no less than a Hollywood movie and rightly so. With some crew and technical support from Hollywood, this is definitely going to be a huge release in the region.

Bilal Lashari has earlier directed some marvelous music videos for Atif Aslam, Jal and Mekaal Hasan Band and is certainly going to make a ground breaking entry into the film making arena with an even iconic cast of the movie that includes Shaan Shahid, Shamoon Abbasi, Ayesha Khan, Meesha Shafi, Ali Azmat and many others.

So ladies and gentleman brace yourself for this mega project finally coming your way on this Eid. We hope that the Waar team would soon officially start the publicity campaign of the film that is already making rounds everywhere.
