Seedlings (Lamha) Will Be Released in Pakistan On 20th of September

So finally Seedlings (Lamha), after getting a worldwide recognition, is coming back to hit the cinemas of the country for which it was actually made. Yes, after a long wait, Seedlings will be released on 20th of September by The Platform at the Atrium cinemas in Karachi.

Seedlings revolve around the life of a happy couple that is changed forever after a devastating accident that leaves them in the unbearable situation of nurturing the possibility of stability again.

Many of you must have heard about the global recognition and appreciation that this film has received. The cast of the film including the real life couple Aamina Sheikh and Mohib Mirza have also won awards for their roles during the world premiere of the movie at the prestigious The New York City International Film Festival 2012, the annual South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation SAARC summit’s film festival. The film also won the Best feature Film award at the DC south Asian Festival in Washington earlier this year.

The lead actors of the movie Aamina and Mohib sounded very excited on the news of their project finally getting released in their own country.

“The project getting international recognition and now the much-awaited release in Pakistan is surely a reflection of such unwavering commitment and dedication of all those who ‘literally lived every moment of Lamha.‘”

Mohib Mirza was also of the same view and said that after getting such an appreciation globally this can movie can go a long way in helping the revival of Pakistani cinema. He commented, “heartening to finally know the much-awaited release date” and that its release was “a major step towards the revival of Pakistani cinema”

Meanwhile the title track of the movie ‘Jab Koi Pyaar Se Bulaye Ga’, a cover song by Zoe Viccaji has also been released adding much to the pre-release excitement of the movie.

Seedlings that will be released in Pakistan with its Urdu name ‘Lamha’ is now all set for a release on 20th of September.
