We, as a human being, always get affected by what is happening around us. And our reactions translate the whole situation around us into some medium of art. They speak about the volume or intensity of the situation which you are feeling inside. Excuse me! I know it’s a bit too serious thing to start of with, for a music review. But this is something to which every one of us can relate to and musicians are no exception to it. Lately it’s been really a trend to release songs that are politically motivated and have a social message in them in a light way.

After the overwhelming success of Aalu Anday, Beygairat Brigade presents ‘Paisay Ki Game’.
On Friday, the 22nd of June 2012, CityFM89 celebrated World Music Day in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad simultaneously. 20 up and coming Pakistani bands performed in the three cities.
The Karachi event took place at Port Grand. Khalid Malik of The Breakfast Show on CityFM89 hosted the evening. The show started off with Hassan Hussain performing Pakistani pop classics and his original single “Rangeen Raat” Up next was 7 on 3rd, fronted by Gibran Nasir, who performed covers of popular songs such as Adele’s Rolling In The Deep and Vital Signs’ ‘Dil Dil Pakistan.’
Critically acclaimed Indian film director and screenwriter Anurag Kashyap, who is known for films like Black Friday, No Smoking, Dev D and That Girl in Yellow Boots, praises the Lahore-based political rock band Beygairat Brigade.
The band members confessed to TOI that they are ‘hardcore’ RD Burman fans and Anurag Kashyap admirers. In an interview with the TOI, the band admired Kashyap by saying “Please tell him if he ever makes Dev D again, we’ll mortgage everything to come and be a part of his film in any way.”
