Last week, the much awaited second season of Nescafe Basement finally came out and was released simultaneously on various TV channels and online as well. The timing of the basement is said to be very crucial as it coincides with another already running and highly anticipated music show.
Supervised under the brilliance of the maestro Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan a.k.a Xulfi, Nescafe Basement first came up last summer with some mixed reviews from the audiences. But it was mainly the concert tours later on that made this music show much more familiar in the masses.

News from the Kitchen – What’s cooking in Pakistani Music Pot
Too many cooks are NOT spoiling the broth!
– Ali Gohar
We have heard of numerous must-watch Pakistani movies hitting theaters in the near future but Pakistan Music lovers also have the right to know what’s going on and what’s next in the pipeline. So here is some spice of what’s up with your favorite artists and bands these days.
Jal:
So far Jal’s latest album Pyaas has done reasonably good in the market. This should be a big relief for all Jalaholics that the band is not over yet, in fact still doing great. ‘Dil Harri’ was a soulful song with a harmonious video which was released a couple of months ago.
KARACHI: In collaboration with some of the most renowned artists of the Pakistan music industry, Cornetto, the most popular frozen dessert brand amongst the Pakistani youth, is bringing a fresh music platform, the Cornetto Music Icons. Cornetto Music Icons began airing on 28th April 2013, with one episode every week. The show aims to pick the best of the wellspring of the new vocal talent from the Pakistani youth and mould them into future icons through a 10 episode TV show on the ARY Network and PTV starting end April 2013.
Nescafe basement is once again alive and kicking. After a pretty decent debut and more than expected response from audience, the basement band is back and this time around they have gone all out and are going to perform live in various educational institutions of the country.
Sadly another music band of Pakistan bites the dust as it is official now that Junaid Khan has left the Call band. Although not many people will be surprised by this news because Junaid is already seen busy with his solo projects for quite some time now, so this was pretty much inevitable. But then this is how it goes on here and every good thing has end to it. However, the master mind behind Call, Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan a.k.a Xulfi is really upbeat about the future of the band and promises an even better Call after the lead vocalist walking away.
Call re-emerged on the Pakistani music scene almost a decade ago. They have some huge hits to their credit such as Pukaar, Shayad, Laaree Chootee, Aasman, Hum Se Hai Zamana.
