Ali Zafar‘s latest venture into the Indian film industry is all set to tickle the audience’s funny bones by bringing to light the ever-contentious Pakistan-India rivalry. The tremendously talented, emerging director Eeshwar Nivas of De Taali and My Name is Anthony Gonsalves fame brings together renowned and beloved actors like Ali Zafar, Anupam Kher and Kiron Kher in this film, which has been rechristened ‘Total Siyappa’ from its earlier title, ‘Aman ki Asha‘. The film tells a touching and humorous tale of Aman, a Pakistani Muslim boy based in London who falls in love with a Hindu Indian girl, Asha, played by Yami Gautam. The story kicks off with Asha taking Aman home to meet her parents, which marks the beginning of the roller coaster ride of laughter interspersed with heart-rending scenes as a chain of hysterical errors is set into motion.

Strings and Euphoria to record a song “Aman Ki Asha”

Pakistani Pop rock band Strings and Indian rock band Euphoria have been promoting peace talks between Pakistan and India. Both the bands have been supporting Aman Ki Asha, a peace initiative, for a year now.

Strings and Euphoria are all set to collaborate again for a song called “Aman Ki Asha” which has been written by Palash Sen, the lead vocalist of Euphoria. The song is about promoting peace between India and Pakistan, and how a peace pact between both the nations shall benefit the entire South-East Asian region.

Pakistani Musicians Won Awards at Mirchi Music Awards 2010

Pakistani musicians swept Mirchi Music Awards as Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was nominated under four different categories for his bollywood songs while Amanat Ali, Najam Sheraz, Shafqat Amanat Ali & Shiraz Uppal were also nominated.

Based on this inspiring thought this year Rahat Fateh Ali Khan & Shankar Mahadevan have been awarded for the Best Non Film Music Album (Aman Ki Asha) at India’s first and the biggest music awards, the Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA) and the award was presented by Raju Hirani, the director of the famous film, 3 Idiots.

Atif Aslam & Rahat Fateh Ali Khan were also nominated under the same category of the ‘Best Playback Singer (Male) at GIMA. Unfortunately they couldn’t win the award.
