A few days ago, musician Shahvaar Ali Khan hosted an Iftar party where many musicians and artists were invited including Abrar ul Haq, Fawad Khan, Junaid Khan, Laal band, TV show host and actress Juggan Kazim, Meera, filmmaker Abdullah Haris among others. Ali Zafar, the music director of London, Paris, New York (LPNY) has taken two diverse female singing talents on board from both sides of the border. One is his very own co-star, Aditi Rao Hydari, who “sang beautifully herself in a song,” says Ali. “Normally it’s either the hero or heroine who lend his or her voice to a song. But in this case, I decided we’d both sing because Aditi has a nice, soothing voice.” The other Indian singer is the pop sensation, Sunidhi Chauhan. It will be the first time that Ali has worked for a song with Sunidhi.
Rest of the two are popular Pakistani singers, whose names have not yet been revealed. Ali’s PR Manager, Ammara Hikmat said that Ali brought “two versatile Pakistani female singers with some killer vocals to perk up LPNY’s music.”
Couple of days ago Ali Zafar, on his facebook page asked his fans’ opinion whether to change the name of his upcoming film “Tere Bin Laden” just for Pakistan? Most of the fans voted for ‘No Name Change’ and Ali also accepted their opinion saying “best judge is the public.”
However, today Ali Zafar’s media publicist Ammara Hikmat has confirmed the news that Alif films (Ali Zafar’s Film House), owner to the rights of the bollywood film “Tere Bin Laden” for Pakistan, has decided to change it’s name to “Tere Bin” for the territory of Pakistan only.
Methinks that this must be the decision of our weird censor board which never censors intimate scenes of Pakistani films but wants to censor the name ‘Laden’ from the title of the film ‘Tere Bin Laden’ which will remain the same in all over the world but for Pakistan.
