Now this is something that you can be proud of. This year a documentary, Made in Pakistan, helmed by a young man Nasir Khan, created a few ripples in the otherwise calm waters of the Pakistani filmmaking scene. It’s a story of four individuals trying to disprove the rather unsavory image that the West has of our Land of the Pure. It’s a decently-constructed film, and the idea behind it has won it many fans.
Now the good news is that the documentary is now going to be screened at the 2009 South Asian International Film Festival (Oct 28-Nov3) in New York. This will certainly help Nasir, his team and Pakistan. Way to go buddies!
