In the times where no real money can be generated through album sales and live events seldom happen due to the security situation, it is only brands which can keep the music alive in Pakistan. The largest example of that is Coke Studio followed by Ufone’s Uth Records and this time around it’s Samsung which is stepping into the market of promoting up and coming musicians.
A few days ago we reported about the endorsement deal that the Lahore based band Club Caramel has signed up with the Samsung. The campaign continues with the Galaxy Y giveaway which any one of you can get this Valentine’s.
Club Caramel signs Music Video & Brand Endorsement deal with Samsung
Lahore based pop/rock band Club Caramel has signed with Samsung Pakistan for the release of their new song and its music video to be released as a Valentine’s Day activity.
The agreement also covers brand endorsement of the Samsung Galaxy Series by the duo of Kiran Chaudhry and Adnan Sarwar and Valentine’s Day Special CD Single release.
I think it is a good initiative taken by Samsung Pakistan that they are supporting underground music and bands, as brand endorsements can help raise an artists’ profile and expose them to an entirely new audience demographic than they may have otherwise been able to reach.
