Pepsi Pakistan has always been closely associated with both cricket and music of our country, at times uniting both of them together. This time, as we all know the t20 Cricket World Cup is just around the corner so Pepsi have successfully managed to rope in pop music veterans ‘Noori’ to sing their official song for the event.
After winning two awards this year for the “Best Playback Singer”, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has now received two more nominations for the same category at the 56th Filmfare Awards 2010. But this time he is not the only Pakistani musician nominated; Shafqat Amanat Ali and Adnan Sami have also been nominated in the same category.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been nominated for Sajda (My Name Is Khan) & Dil Toh Baccha Hai Jee (Ishqiya) where as Shafqat Amanat Ali has been nominated for Bin Tere (I Hate Luv Storys) and Adnan Sami for Noor-e-Khuda (My Name Is Khan).
Azaan Sami Khan is an upcoming musician and is the son of the renowned music legend Adnan Sami. Following the foot steps of his father he has also stepped in the world of music direction. He was recently in India to give music for the title track of Bumm Bumm Bole, a Bollywood film directed by Priyadarshan. The song is sung by the famous Indian singer Shaan and lyrics for the song are written by Irfan Siddique. The film stars ‘Taare Zameen Par’ fame Darsheel Safary and is a remake of an Iranian film ‘Children of Heaven’ which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
Shahrukh’s upcoming movie “My Name is Khan” will be featuring 4 Pakistani artists for the soundtracks
Shafqat Amanat Ali will do a song called “Tere Naina”. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be featured for a song called “Sajda” while Strings will be doing the theme music for the movie called “Khan Theme”. Apart from these three, Adnan Sami will also do a song for the film called Noor-e-Khuda.

The teenage son of singer Adnan Sami Khan talks about his forthcoming album and his relationship with his long-estranged father.

Even at the young age of 15, Azaan Sami Khan has a discerning, motivated look about him. He has unruly hair and baby fat that hasn’t yet shed off, but his bespectacled, intelligent eyes speak volumes for his maturity as an individual. As the son of actress Zeba Bakhtiar and musician Adnan Sami Khan, Azaan is, of course, not your average teenager. During his childhood, he weathered his parents’ tumultuous divorce and subsequent prolonged custody battle – experiences that must have left long-lasting scars. Still, he seems to be none the worse for wear as he has recently been signed by Sony Music India for his debut album, an album that will mark him as the world’s youngest composer and singer.
