Bat For Lashes – the pseudonym for Natasha Khan, is back on the music stage after a long hiatus. Her last and probably one of the most notable songs was “Daniel” in 2009 and this time around she has hit the stage with a brand new track “Laura” from her upcoming album “The Haunted Man” slated to be released in this October. Some might found this newly released track “Laura” a continuation of the journey, from where “Daniel” left. But one thing is for sure that the long wait for her new track was really worth it as she has come out with some beautifully mastered track that is surely going to connect with anybody who is going to listen to it.

It appears desi musicians are quite influential in Australia. Earlier, it was Mahmood Khan who didn’t only perform at the Sydney Opera House but also hit the number one spot in ARIA Charts, Australia and now it’s the UK based Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes who’d be debuting in Australia at Sydney Opera House exclusively for Vivid Live. One of the most influential groups, The Cure, will also be performing this season at Vivid Live.
Auction for Relief Efforts in Japan
Natasha Khan (Bar For Lashes) has donated one of her outfits used on the ‘Two Suns’ World Tour to the EMI Family for Japan campaign which sees artists and songwriters from across the EMI family supporting the Red Cross to raise funds for the people affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Over the next three weeks, incredible auction items from more than [60] of the world’s biggest stars will be available to bid on to help this important cause.
Artists supporting the appeal include: Coldplay, David Bowie, Sting, Queen, Norah Jones, Katy Perry, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Gorillaz and more.
The stunning costume is a UK size 10 white bodysuit with a fox head motif and various studded details.

She has spoken out about living in a cold, slug-infested student house as part of Friends of the Earth’s new Warm Homes campaign, launched today.
She said:
“We suffered the worst mould you could imagine in my student house. Over our 2 year let, it got to the point where you’d have to dodge at least 20 slugs living off moisture in the carpet to reach the bathroom – then inhale black mould spores if the steam from the shower got too much. The cold, draughts and dampness were pretty extreme! Everyone should get behind Friends of the Earth’s campaign to protect tenants in cold houses – it’s time to heat our homes, not the planet.”
