Ali Zafar Turns Down the Role of a Gigolo for an Upcoming Film

The prince of pop, Ali Zafar is getting a lot of offers from Bollywood these days. He was recently offered the role of a male prostitute (sometimes known as a “gigolo”) by a producer who insisted that he was perfect for the part. According to TOI, Ali turned the role down even when the producer of the film offered to pay him whatever fee he demanded. It seems Ali is at the moment not looking for such serious roles.

Ali Zafar to Co-star Rishi Kapoor in Dhawan’s ‘Chashme Buddoor’

Last year, soon after the release of “Tere Bin Laden“, Ali Zafar auditioned for the remake of Chashme Buddoor to be directed by David Dhawan. After “Tere Bin Laden”, Dhawan was quite impressed by the Zafar’s comic timing and decided to cast him in his upcoming film. February this year, Zafar confirmed signing up for a romantic comedy film. Chashme Baddoor is a classic, directed by Sai Paranjpe in 1981 and is being remade by Dhawan.

Ali Zafar is doing another romantic-comedy with a renowned director

Ali Zafar, who shot to fame in Bollywood with his debut film, ‘Tere Bin Laden‘, is looking forward to a longer innings in Indian film industry and aspires to do two-three films a year.

Ali Zafar told PTI in an interview,

“I am very comfortable in Bollywood now. I am looking for a longer innings in Bollywood. I am looking forward for my journey in this industry. I would do two-three films a year. Since my first film has done well, people have some expectations from me. I don’t want to disappoint them and would do my best.”

There is already a buzz that Ali has been signed for Aditya Chopra’s Dhoom 3 and David Dhawan‘s Chashme Baddoor. But Ali chose to remain tight-lipped about the speculation.
