On Saturday, Sept 12 the UN General Assembly’s gold-and-blue hall was chock-a-block. Those who were there, including the stiff-coloured diplomats, enjoyed themselves to the hilt at an event called Concert for Pakistan. Not only that, all of them prayed in unison for Pakistan’s well-being, especially for the violence-stricken northern areas.
It’s a great cause, a charitable one… a charity concert for the 3 million internally displaced people (IDP) of Pakistan in the aftermath of the Swat crisis.
