As we all know that Ali Zafar, started his career as a singer and after having a successful run in that has managed to make his mark as an actor in Bollywood who sang hits like Madhubala for his film ‘Mere brother ki dulhan’ besides composing, writing and singing for London, Paris, New York. He also released his latest sufi album “Jhoom” through YRF records. This puts him in a unique position of being a singing actor who sings for himself.
Presenting first song “Har Ek Friend Kamina Hota Hai” from the movie “Chashme Baddoor” starring Ali Zafar, Divyendu Sharma, Taapsee Pannu and Siddharth and music is composed by Sajid-Wajid and this song is sung by Sonu Nigam.
The prince of pop, Ali Zafar is getting a lot of offers from Bollywood these days. He was recently offered the role of a male prostitute (sometimes known as a “gigolo”) by a producer who insisted that he was perfect for the part. According to TOI, Ali turned the role down even when the producer of the film offered to pay him whatever fee he demanded. It seems Ali is at the moment not looking for such serious roles.
Ali, who recently got done with the shooting of his big Bollywood project with Fox Star Studios, started working on his next.
Last year, soon after the release of “Tere Bin Laden“, Ali Zafar auditioned for the remake of Chashme Buddoor to be directed by David Dhawan. After “Tere Bin Laden”, Dhawan was quite impressed by the Zafar’s comic timing and decided to cast him in his upcoming film. February this year, Zafar confirmed signing up for a romantic comedy film. Chashme Baddoor is a classic, directed by Sai Paranjpe in 1981 and is being remade by Dhawan.

Sonu’s team updated his personal profile and fan page status and an e mail address was set up allowing fans to submit their samples. Out of the many submitted songs, there were six which were chosen to be compiled in a new song composed by Saikat & Shankar. Facebook has been the tool which was used to team up the singers for this tribute song.
Out of the six artists, Salman Asif is the only Pakistani who got the chance to pay tribute to the legend by teaming up with the legend. Salman Asif, 22 is a young aspiring singer who is at London currently for his education. Salman Asif, was the last one to apply and was picked up for the team
