So finally after almost a decade, the super stars from the past have made a come back, although this re-union might be just for a single song, but as of now they have surely created a lot of buzz with their recent track, some terming it as a unique occurrence in the history of Pakistani music.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is “Naya Pakistan” featuring few of the most renowned pop icons from the past, Salman Ahmad, Shahi Hassan, Nusrat Hussain, and last but not the least, Junaid Jamshed. And together they have been titled as Vital-Junoon.

So there is something big cooking up in a studio of Karachi these days. And this is certainly going to be huge once it gets out of the stores.
It is reported that some of the musical legends of our industry namely Salman Ahmad, Shahi Hasan, Nusrat Hussain and none other than Junaid Jamshed, are together gearing up for release of a new single named as “Naya Pakistan”. This track will most probably be a patriotic number but the most important thing which is causing the excitement among the music fans is the re-union of these pop giants from the past.

Music video of “Shor” by Nusrat Hussain (founding member of Junoon and Vital Signs) is finally here! He is back after a long time and this is his latest single to be released from his new album “Kaho”.

Nusrat Hussain, the founding member of Vital Signs and Junoon is back with the first track “Maza Dard Ka” from his solo album “Kaho”. After a period of 19 years, Nusrat decided to get back to music with an offering of a full length album. The video has been directed by Zeeshan Parwez, who explains this piece as a decay of pixels.
The video is data moshed, and it’s supposed to look like that. So, don’t think your video codecs have gone bad.

This year’s most anticipated album ‘Junoon-20 (Volume 1)‘ is finally here. The Sufi rock album which consists of 20 tracks, features talented artists like Aag, Alison Sudol, Bilal Khan, Fifi Haroon, Laal, Nusrat Hussain, Outlandish, Peter Gabriel, Rohail Hyatt, Shahjehan of The Kominas, Shubha Mudgal, Usman Riaz and Vital Signs, has now been released on iTunes.
The album costs $9.99 and the proceeds that will be raised from it will be donated to help support the efforts of Salman and Samina’s Charity for Education.

As you probably already know Salman Ahmad & Brian O’ Connell united for the 20th anniversary of Junoon to release two new special edition albums. This ought to be a treat for Junoon fans as you’re going to get your hands on 40 Junoon songs divided into two volumes.
Salman has already released five of the tracks from volume 1 on YouTube, featuring some of the young talented artists, including Mitti by Aag, Dil Main Meray by Bilal Khan, Neend Aati Nahin by Laal, No More by Outlandish and Saeen by Usman Riaz.
